Depression and stress are to the mind what sickness and
disease are to the body.

Unfounded guilt is one of the symptoms of depression.
Don't pile more guilt onto yourself by wondering if a lack of
faith is the cause of your depression.

"Don't be afraid of people. I am with you, and I will rescue you,"
declares the Lord.
Jeremiah 1:8

No trouble we face today is too great for us to bring God,
who has promised to save us out of all our troubles.

God is the God of all comfort!
'Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;'

2 Corinthians 1:3

Get in the Word of God.
Read it often.

Get the Scriptures in you that will help to overcome.
The Bible tells us that Satan roams about seeking whom he
may devour and depression is just one thing that he uses.

Doubt, discouragement, and depression are all primary weapons
used by Satan in the battle against our minds.
He maligns God's character and faithfulness, redirects our focus
on our problems instead of God's promises.

Today is the Tomorrow that you worried about Yesterday!

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and
supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made
known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all
understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through
Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:6-7

Notice that the verse promises God's peace will guard our
hearts and minds.
God knows that our minds need to be at peace.
And He provides a way for us to get that peace.

Hold on to Jesus:
No matter how bad you feel, it
will never change who Jesus is.
The Bible says "He is the same yesterday, today and forever."

It also says He came to bind up the broken hearted and to set
the captive free.

We also learn in
Isaiah 53 that He is who is acquainted with
our grief and sorrows.
He knows what it is to be alone.
